This week gives each island two nights and one complete day, with Çanakkale first for the Dardanelles waterfront and Troy. A car keeps the rural outings practical without turning the island evenings into driving tours.
The middle transfer is the longest day: sail back to Geyikli, drive to Çanakkale, cross the strait to Eceabat, continue to Kabatepe and board the Gökçeada ferry. The route uses those services rather than a direct boat between the islands. Reserve the sightseeing for the days either side.
May, June and September suit a mix of village walks and beaches. October brings milder daytime temperatures and less dependable swimming weather; the priced example is an autumn planning case, not a promise of summer services. Choose one island instead if two ferry-led travel days would take too much of your holiday.
The waterfront gives the first evening a walkable centre, while the following day pairs Troy’s archaeological layers with its museum collection. Keep the city base for two nights so the history visit has its own day.
Stay in the harbour town for restaurants, castle views and lanes after the cars have parked. The full island day can then reach Ayazma and the vineyard countryside without adding a rural hotel transfer to sailing mornings.
Use Gökçeada Town for the final two nights and choose one island circuit. Aydıncık offers a coast-and-salt-lake outing; the western beaches make a different day. Combining both would use the only full day mostly on the road.

Bozcaada harbour town keeps the castle exterior, lanes and dinner within a short walk of the room. A rural vineyard stay is quieter, but adds driving after meals and before the return queue. For this two-night visit, town makes the evening time easier to use.

Gökçeada villages, bays and wind-shaped landscape
Gökçeada Town offers a central starting point for village roads and the Aydıncık coast, rather than a room tied to one beach. Keep the car for the full day, then finish near town so the early departure does not begin with a long drive from the western shore.
Watch out: The island is too dispersed to assume every beach is reachable without a vehicle.
Every ferry appears as a real travel day, with one wind-flexible day left on each island.
Collect the car at Çanakkale airport and settle into the city for the first of two nights. The rental example begins at 14:00 on 15 October; an earlier or later arrival needs a matching quotation. Leave the first evening on the waterfront rather than starting an archaeological excursion after travelling. Boats crossing the Dardanelles make the city’s position immediately clear: Troy and Geyikli are on this Asian shore, while Eceabat and Kabatepe are across the water. A central hotel lets you walk out for dinner once the car is parked. Ask whether its parking is on site or in a nearby lot, because a waterfront address alone does not settle that practical detail. The seaside promenade also gives a gentler opening for anyone who wants a short walk rather than a full afternoon of sights.
Overnight: Çanakkale
Choose Troy and its museum for the mainland day in this example. The archaeological site preserves successive layers of settlement rather than a single intact classical city; the museum provides the objects and context that help those remains make sense. Its published hours are 08:30–17:30 daily, with the last ticket at 17:00. Start early enough to use both places without relying on that final entry. The foreign-visitor combined museum-and-site tariff is €27 per adult, so this day contributes €54 to the two-person budget. Allow for exposed archaeological paths as well as the indoor museum: the museum’s ramps do not make every part of the outdoor site step-free. Gallipoli is an alternative historical focus across the strait, replacing this day rather than joining it. That substitution also changes the admission and driving calculation.
Overnight: Çanakkale
Drive to Geyikli for the Bozcaada sailing. The 11:00 departure in the current timetable gives a useful morning-to-afternoon shape, with the vehicle at the port by 10:30 and its reserved PNR scanned by 10:45. This leaves the island arrival for the harbour and hotel rather than a rush to a beach. Once parked, walk the lanes beside the castle and choose dinner in town. Castle views from outside belong to this plan; an interior ticket is an optional extra and is not counted in the budget. Town accommodation makes this arrival straightforward, while a room out among the vineyards adds another drive and makes evening meals less spontaneous. The Arcadia room figure below is a price benchmark for the island, not an instruction that its location is the best fit for every traveller.

Use Bozcaada’s full day for its rural side. Ayazma and nearby Sulubahçe are beach options named in the official island route; Mermer Burnu offers a different coastal setting. Pick one stretch according to conditions instead of moving between all three. Pair the coast with a drive through the vineyard countryside, then return to the harbour town for the evening. A winery visit and a tasting are separate choices: the driver can enjoy the landscape without drinking, and tasting fees are outside the core estimate. In October, a beach walk may be a better use of the coast than expecting a long swim. With only this one complete day, a leisurely lunch and one satisfying shore beat a circuit dominated by parking and short photo stops. Put the luggage ready for the early return tomorrow.

The island-to-island day contains three crossings. Join the Bozcaada return queue for the published 07:00 sailing to Geyikli, drive north to Çanakkale, take the car ferry across the Dardanelles to Eceabat, then drive to Kabatepe for Gökçeada. The middle strait ferry is an actual part of the route and its fare is included. Aim for the 13:00 Kabatepe departure, which gives a broad interval for unloading, the road sections, a meal and the next boarding procedure. Its reserved-car deadlines are 12:30 at the port and 12:45 for the PNR scan. The 17:00 departure is the later scheduled alternative if the earlier chain slips. On arrival, head to Gökçeada Town and keep the remainder for dinner and the room. A cancelled final crossing needs a revised hotel plan; speeding cannot replace a missed boat.

Build Gökçeada’s full day around one side of the island. The official route pairs Aydıncık, also called Kefalos, with the salt lake, giving a coast-and-landscape day without crossing to the westernmost beaches. Uğurlu and Gizli Liman are the alternative western outing; choose that direction if it is the coast you most want to see. A village stop can add a slower lunch or walk, but should fit the selected direction rather than create a compulsory island-wide loop. Tepeköy is the village setting shown in the hero photograph, with houses and a small square instead of a resort frontage. The image describes that kind of island afternoon, not a promise that every village has the same services. Wind sports and organised activities require their own booking and payment. Finish the outing in daylight and spend the last evening near the town base.
Overnight: Gökçeada
Take the early Gökçeada departure for the mainland return. The current 07:00 sailing goes to Kabatepe; from there drive to Eceabat, cross back to Çanakkale and continue to the airport. This is two ferry crossings plus road travel, so a morning boat is more useful than another distant beach stop. The quoted car return is 14:00 on 21 October. Any planned flight must fit the real sailing and airport check-in requirements separately; neither a flight ticket nor a protected air connection is included in this example. If weather makes the morning crossing unreliable, an extra mainland night can provide a better departure margin. That changes the itinerary to eight days and seven hotel nights, and may change the rental duration as well. The six-night price therefore cannot be carried over unchanged to a longer version.

Drive from Çanakkale to Geyikli and sail to Bozcaada. The current outbound departures are 08:00, 11:00, 15:00 and 19:00, with extra late services on some days. An 11:00 boat leaves the afternoon for the harbour town.
Booking note: For a reserved vehicle, arrive 30 minutes before departure and scan the PNR at least 15 minutes before.
Bozcaada Gökçeada
Take the 07:00 Bozcaada return, drive Geyikli–Çanakkale, cross to Eceabat and continue to Kabatepe. Aim for the 13:00 Gökçeada boat; the 17:00 service is the later option. This chain has three crossings, not two.

This itinerary and its budget use a car for Troy, rural Bozcaada and the Gökçeada circuit. A car-free version needs separately confirmed port transfers and island transport; the harbour walk alone does not make the countryside accessible. Choose one island if those links cannot be arranged.
Choose one according to interest and opening logistics. Troy pairs with its museum and the Asian-shore route toward Geyikli. Gallipoli lies toward Kabatepe and carries a different historical focus. Each deserves a full, respectful visit.
Extend the current island or take a mainland room when a crossing is cancelled, then revise the next booking. An extra overnight turns this six-night week into a longer route and changes its cost. Check flexible room terms before committing to the transfer nights.
Late spring and early autumn often balance operating businesses with lower peak pressure, but schedules still vary. Wind can affect any season. Confirm ferries and island services for the actual dates instead of relying on a broad monthly recommendation.
Choose Bozcaada for a compact castle town and simpler two-night stay; choose Gökçeada for dispersed villages, broader landscapes and a vehicle-led circuit. Keeping one island produces a better holiday than compressing both into unstable ferry days.
