Koh Tao Scuba Club’s beginner SSI Open Water course combines pool practice with four ocean dives over three days. Choose the school and start date before the room, then use the included island pickup or stay nearby. A full course includes practical training; buying PADI eLearning alone covers a different part of the process.
The tourism association highlights a small wreck in Mae Haad Bay and opportunities to see turtles and blacktip reef sharks at Shark Bay. Shallow reefs also support butterflyfish and parrotfish. Choose a guided outing or a shore entry suited to your swimming ability and the day’s conditions.
