The full island day can be a protected-bay outing or a day exploring Phi-Phi Don. The official 2026 schedule lists Maya Bay, Loh Samah and Loh Ko closed from 1 August to 30 September; that scheduled end date is not a guarantee of later entry under current notices and weather. Buy the optional outing with the actual operator’s conditions and retain a suitable local alternative. If the ferry to the next base is cancelled, the response is different: contact the carrier and hotels to review the dated rooms rather than treating a village walk as completion of the missing crossing.

Check where the Krabi ticket takes you and what transfer it includes. Ao Nang Travel’s Phi-Phi-to-Ao Nang example includes delivery to specified mainland hotel areas, whereas Andaman Wave Master’s Tonsai-to-Klong Jilad example is ferry-only and excludes the land leg. Those products can lead to different costs and meeting points even when both appear under a Krabi search. Choose the final mainland hotel in Ao Nang or Krabi Town if the promised departure is by road. A Railay hotel would add another sea stage and needs a different final-airport plan.

Give the mainland Krabi day one coherent purpose. Railay can provide limestone and the Phra Nang shore when the actual boat and return suit the conditions; time exploring the town and its food or a visit to the Andaman Cultural Centre offers a different land choice, subject to its own current opening. A heavy-rain boat cancellation does not establish that every replacement nature trail or swim is suitable. Return with the final road pickup confirmed, then leave day seven to breakfast, bags and the airport process.

An added seventh hotel night makes an eight-day route. Assign it to the need that justifies it: another Phi-Phi day, a second Krabi conditions window, more Phuket time or a defined gateway connection. Update the total trip length when adding a night, and check every new transfer and hotel date before adding another island. The useful contrast comes from time spent in the selected places rather than another nominal stop.
