Tran Phu centre
A walkable city holiday
Central hotels around Tran Phu put the promenade and restaurants close to the room.
With four hotel nights, arrive on day one and take a short waterfront walk. On day two, visit Po Nagar and choose Long Son or a bathing afternoon, with lunch between stops. Use day three for one boat outing or VinWonders, then leave day four for the beach, the pool or a postponed trip. To do both boat and park, use day four too, or add a day and hotel night to keep the free day. Depart on day five in the four-night version. For three nights, drop the free day; for two nights, choose one full-day outing between arrival and departure. An overnight train adds a separate travel night.
Ask your driver for Po Nagar at 61, 2 Thang 4 Street. Begin with the Mandapa pillars below the towers, then follow the visitor approach uphill to the brick sanctuary. The site has a later stone approach on its southern side as well as the steep original stairway; ask staff which route to use. Look for the main and smaller towers, inscriptions and the river view. This remains a place of worship, so follow the posted dress rules and signs before entering sacred interiors.
Long Son is at 22, 23 Thang 10 Street, inland from the beachfront. A taxi takes you to the lower temple at the foot of Trai Thuy hill. Visit that precinct first, then climb the steps to the white Buddha if the group wants the hill view. The statue is above the temple, so seeing it from the road is different from reaching its base. Bring water for the climb and pause before the return journey rather than rushing straight to another hill site.
Fish and shellfish are a strong part of Nha Trang dining, from simple eateries to hotel restaurants. Before choosing a live seafood item, ask whether the price is per portion or by weight, then agree the quantity and cooking style. Two people can start with a smaller order and add more. Ask about sauces and ingredients when an allergy or diet matters. A central room makes an independent dinner easy to fit after an outing, without needing to return to a distant resort for every meal.
Sailing Club is at 72–74 Tran Phu, on the beachfront south of the central tower area. Its own events page lists Friday and Saturday beach parties. Look up the event for your evening if music and dancing are part of the plan; a restaurant visit on another day is a different experience. Have dinner before a late night, and choose a room away from nearby music if you want to sleep early. The venue’s daily restaurant opening does not mean a party runs every night.
Give the driver I-resort’s address: To 19, Xuan Ngoc, Tay Nha Trang. Arrange the return pickup as well as the outward ride; this is a separate trip from the Tran Phu promenade. A mud or herbal bath includes a twenty-minute soak, while the pools and waterpark can fill the rest of the afternoon. Towels, borrowed swimwear and lockers are listed in the product. Bring what you need for changing, and choose a pickup time after the facilities you intend to use rather than treating the soak as the whole visit.
Snorkelling keeps you at the surface; a beginner scuba session involves instruction, equipment and supervised dives. Sailing Club Divers’ Discover Scuba programme takes participants aged ten and over on two boat dives, with at most two guests per instructor. You should be comfortable in water; ask about the joining requirements when booking. It is a try-dive experience rather than a full certification course. If one person wants to dive and another prefers to snorkel, ask how the boat day works for both before reserving.

Stay near central Tran Phu for a first Nha Trang visit with beach walks, restaurants and mainland outings. Choose the northern coast for more hotel time, Hon Tre for an island resort and VinWonders, or Bai Dai near Cam Ranh for a beach break outside the city. Four hotel nights give you an arrival afternoon, a cultural day, one sea or park outing, a free coastal day and departure on day five. Island stays add a crossing; Cam Ranh stays need a road journey for city visits.

Tran Phu city beachfront
After checking in or arranging bag storage, head to Tram Huong Tower and the central beachfront. Follow the promenade south beside Tran Phu towards Sailing Club at 72–74 Tran Phu, then stop for a drink or dinner and return the same way. This gives you a simple landmark to retrace without filling the arrival afternoon with taxis and admissions. Use pedestrian crossings when moving between the hotel side of the road and the beach. If the journey was tiring, turn back early; the cultural outing can wait until tomorrow.
The mainland centre, northern shore and island have different daily journeys. Bai Dai is farther south towards Cam Ranh, outside the city.
A walkable city holiday
Central hotels around Tran Phu put the promenade and restaurants close to the room.
Mainland stays north of the centre
Hon Chong and farther northern resorts share a mainland coast but are different bases.
An island resort and park holiday
Hon Tre works when most of the stay will be on the island.
Several days at an outlying beach
Bai Dai and Cam Ranh favour resort time with occasional city outings.

Choose sleeping space, outdoor space or a convenient departure according to who is travelling and how the days will work.
Novotel’s Superior Ocean View has a balcony and a sitting area with an armchair and coffee table, stepped down from the main room level. That gives a couple somewhere to read between outings. An extra bed is available by request rather than automatically included in the room description. The internal level change matters if somebody needs a flat route throughout; ask the hotel for a suitable alternative before choosing this category.
Amiana’s Family Villa 2-bedroom Garden View has a King bedroom and a Twin bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen with basic kitchenware and a dining area. Separate bedrooms are useful when children and adults go to sleep at different times. The ground-floor version is listed at 120 m² and the upper-floor version at 110 m². Name the preferred floor in your enquiry and decide whether the kitchen will be useful for breakfasts or snacks. This is the garden villa; private-pool villas are separate categories.
Vinpearl Nha Trang Bay’s Coastal Retreat Family Room combines a large bed for parents with children’s bunks in 45 m². The hotel lists four-person capacity. It suits a family happy to sleep in one connected room; the bunks do not create a separate adult bedroom. Send the children’s ages with the reservation so the bedding and any charges match the party. Choose a multi-bedroom villa instead if adult privacy is a priority.
The Anam Cam Ranh’s Premium Room is 50 m² with a King or Twin arrangement and a private balcony or terrace. It lists space for two adults and one additional person. The bathroom has a sunken bathtub and a separate rain shower, while outdoor seating gives you somewhere to relax without going to the pool. Choose the bed arrangement and ask how an additional guest will sleep. A couple spending most of the trip at the resort will get more use from this space than someone leaving for city excursions daily.
A central mainland hotel is useful when one traveller has a morning dive pickup and companions want their own beach or restaurant day. Sailing Club Divers includes central Nha Trang hotel transfers in its beginner programme. Staying in that area avoids arranging an island crossing before the meeting. Agree where the group will reunite after the boat returns, and leave the evening free for dinner together. A non-diver should book the snorkelling option if joining the boat rather than assume a spare passenger place.
Eligible direct bookings at The Anam advertise 10:00 early check-in or 15:00 late checkout, subject to room availability. Request the late option when the flight leaves well after ordinary checkout, so you can change and rest before the airport transfer. Get the agreed room-release time and pickup together. If extended room access is essential and unavailable, pay for the additional hotel night and count it in the stay; the advertised benefit alone is not a guaranteed room.
Compare dates after choosing the city, northern mainland, island or outlying coast.
Use the exact hotel name for the final destination. Mainland hotels, an island reception and a Cam Ranh beach resort need different arrival plans.
Cam Ranh airport lists around 45–60 minutes for a private road journey to Nha Trang; allow extra time for arrival formalities and traffic. Its T2 transport page gives Quoc Te reference fares of VND 300,000 for a four-seat taxi and VND 360,000 for seven seats into the city. Agree the fare and hotel entrance before leaving. A larger vehicle may help when suitcases fill the boot. These city references do not cover every outlying resort or the crossing to an island hotel.
The airport publishes route 18 at VND 50,000 per person and about 50–60 minutes. Ask at the terminal for the boarding point and the stop serving your hotel; keep its address ready for the remaining walk or taxi. For two people, the listed bus tickets total VND 100,000 before that final connection. The airport’s city-to-airport route includes 10 Tran Hung Dao and 1 Tran Quang Khai. For the return, obtain the actual joining stop and departure time rather than assume an airport drop-off works in reverse.
Nha Trang railway station is a city arrival point, with a separate taxi ride to a Tran Phu hotel. Novotel identifies the station as its rail gateway and the hotel address as 50 Tran Phu. Book the train for your chosen date, then give the driver the accommodation name rather than the airport or a distant resort with a similar name. If a sleeper arrives early, arrange bag storage or early room access with the hotel before travelling. Any berth night belongs in the overall trip total in addition to the hotel nights above.
Take a taxi from your hotel to Po Nagar in the morning. After the towers, stop for lunch and choose one second visit: Long Son for Buddhist architecture and the hill Buddha, or I-resort for bathing and pool time. Give the driver the second destination and agree how you will return to the hotel. Avoid combining both hill visits, every bath facility and several extra sights into one afternoon. Admission and the bathing product are separate from the car unless the booked tour expressly includes them.
Sailing Club Divers publishes a 07:00–14:20 Discover Scuba day. Arrange its included central-hotel pickup when booking, with the exact meeting time sent to you. A northern resort, Hon Tre or Cam Ranh stay needs a separately agreed joining journey because included hotel transport is limited to central Nha Trang. Keep a small boat bag and leave the suitcase at the hotel by arrangement. After the boat returns, go back to the room to change; dinner is a more comfortable next plan than another distant excursion.
The Anam’s eligible Cam Ranh direct-booking benefits include an airport roundtrip transfer and a daily scheduled Nha Trang shuttle. Obtain the current city stop and return time before choosing restaurants or appointments. Use that day for the places near the drop-off, or arrange a separate taxi for an onward cultural stop. If the return is before your planned dinner, book the later ride yourself. The scheduled service can make one city outing practical while leaving the other days for the resort.
For a park day, take a taxi to the Vinpearl cable-car mainland station on Tran Phu in the former Vinh Truong area, then cross to Hon Tre and follow the park entrance signs. Obtain the return crossing instructions before spending the day inside. For Vinpearl Nha Trang Bay accommodation, the hotel describes an arrival through Cau Da port, crossing by its assigned boat or cable car, then a complimentary electric shuttle to the resort; request the hotel’s precise mainland meeting pin. VinWonders’ 1 October 2026 notice schedules cable-car maintenance for 26 October–10 November and substitutes speedboats. During those dates, use the assigned boat pier and return time rather than the normal cable-car plan.
The standard VinWonders ticket includes admission and the return cable-car crossing, subject to the operating arrangements above. The after-16:00 product is for a shorter evening visit, so buy a full-day ticket if daytime attractions are the priority. Each ride has its own participation rules and the zipline costs extra under the standard terms. Tickets are nonrefundable and nonexchangeable: settle the date before paying. Hotel guests should first check whether their booked room package already includes the park for every intended visitor and day.
Po Nagar’s lower precinct and towers sit at different levels; ask staff which approach suits your mobility. At Long Son, decide separately whether the hill stair climb is suitable after seeing the lower temple. For a hotel, explain the route you need from the lift to the bed, shower and balcony. Novotel’s stepped sitting area and The Anam’s sunken bath are specific features to discuss. Ask for room photos or a suitable alternative when those details affect everyday use.
These published tariffs were checked on 5 October 2026. The examples cover the named activity, before accommodation, meals and road transfers.
Rough Guides identifies January–May as the most useful dry-season window. Start there if the main aim is beach time and an outing into the bay. Put the boat trip before the final full day so there is room to rearrange it if conditions change. Ask the operator about the sites it will use and the water conditions near departure; a dry forecast on land does not tell you how clear the water will be below the surface.
On hotter days, visit a hill site early, stop for lunch and use the room or pool for a break before the evening. At VinWonders, spread the walking and outdoor attractions around indoor or shaded stops rather than attempting every zone in order. Carry water and change the pace for children or anyone who tires in the heat. A quieter morning after a full park day gives the group time to recover.
National tourism guidance places the rainiest period around September–December; Travelfish warns against relying on October–December diving conditions. For those dates, choose accommodation you will enjoy during a wet afternoon and keep cultural visits, food and bathing as useful alternatives. Ask the sea operator whether the outing can run before leaving for the pickup. On the beach, follow posted restrictions and local staff advice about the water that day; sunshine between showers is not enough to judge a swim.
VinWonders lists VND 1,050,000 per visitor at least 140 cm tall and VND 800,000 for those 100 cm to under 140 cm. Two adult-height visitors and one child in that paid height band total VND 2,900,000. Entry below 100 cm is free under the published rule. Bring ID to use the senior rate. Measure the child before choosing the product; a hotel’s age-based child rate does not determine this park ticket. Add meals, mainland transport and any extra activities to the admission total.
The later-entry ticket lists VND 700,000 for the adult-height band and VND 550,000 for its child and senior bands. Two adults therefore pay a listed VND 1,400,000 for admission after 16:00. This can suit an evening visit after a restful day at the hotel. It saves VND 700,000 compared with two standard adult tickets, while giving you fewer hours inside. Keep the crossing and mainland return ride in the evening budget, especially if the hotel is outside the centre.
For a tub used by one to three adults, I-resort lists mud at VND 400,000 per adult and herbal at VND 300,000. Two adults total VND 800,000 or VND 600,000 respectively. Both include the twenty-minute soak and the listed pools, waterpark, towels, borrowed swimwear and lockers. A shared tub price is charged per person, not once for the whole tub. Ask about the child classification before adding children, because the product pages do not define its age or height band.
Use a land alternative agreed with the group: I-resort’s bathing and pools, a meal out, or a cultural visit when local conditions allow. Ask the boat operator about rescheduling and the booking’s cancellation terms before making replacement plans. The free day in a four-night stay gives you another possible departure slot; it does not guarantee the weather will improve. Keep the airport or train day clear of a replacement boat trip.
No. Doc Let is an outing north of Nha Trang; Bai Dai is on the Cam Ranh side south of the city. They need different road journeys. Give the driver the beach or hotel name and agree the return before leaving, particularly for a day trip. A listing under the broad Nha Trang destination can be on either outlying coast, so place the actual property on the map before booking.
The current mud and herbal pages list daily opening from 08:00 to 17:30, with ticket sales stopping at 16:30. Arrive earlier if you want the pools and waterpark as well as the soak. Ask the driver to collect you before closing, then return to the hotel to change or head to dinner. An arrival at 17:30 is too late for the published ticket-sales window.
Arrange the sequence with reception: check out, take the resort electric shuttle to the assigned island departure, cross to the mainland, then join the booked airport car. Tell the hotel the flight and terminal so it can work backwards from airline check-in, with time for each transfer and your bags. Meet the driver at the agreed mainland exit rather than ask an airport taxi to collect you from the island room.
The park generally prohibits outside food and drinks, with exceptions for food intended for children or people on a special diet. Explain the specific need before the visit and ask what you may bring. For other meals, plan to use the park’s food outlets or the meal product you have booked. Keep important food accessible in your day bag; lockers near the entrance are listed if you need to leave other belongings.

Research approach: Airport transport, heritage approaches, hotel layouts, bath tariffs and boat products were read alongside two independent travel publishers. The dated cable-car maintenance notice controls affected crossings. Costs state their units and ticket bands; the day plan counts hotel and rail nights separately.
